Sasha Lopez

Facilities and Administrative Coordinator

Sasha Lopez joined Irvine in February 2025 as a Facilities and Administrative Coordinator. She has been deeply involved in nonprofit work since 2017, focusing on housing, workforce development, and mental health.

With extensive experience in operations and administrative support, Sasha most recently served as a Quality Improvement Administrator at the Bay Area Community Services (BACS), a nonprofit dedicated to ending homelessness and addressing mental health needs in the Bay Area. In this role, she evaluated facility safety and compliance, supported emergency planning, resolved administrative challenges, and streamlined processes. Before BACS, Sasha worked as a Program Manager at Downtown Streets Team in Berkeley, where she helped individuals experiencing homelessness navigate a path out of homelessness through a workforce development program.

Sasha first encountered The James Irvine Foundation in 2019 while working as a Program Associate at La Cocina, a business incubator program focused on empowering women, immigrants, and people of color to build and grow their own food businesses. La Cocina was a grantee, and Sasha quickly became inspired by the Foundation’s mission and values.

Sasha earned her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Oberlin College in Ohio.
