Senior Impact Assessment and Learning Officer

Annie joined The James Irvine Foundation as a Senior Impact Assessment and Learning Officer in January 2023. Prior to Irvine, she served as a Research Associate at MDRC, a national social policy nonprofit, where she worked with foundations, nonprofits, and government agencies to evaluate and strengthen social service models for people who have experienced homelessness, legal system involvement, and opportunity youth. She also helped MDRC advance its use of equitable evaluation and participatory research methods.

Annie previously served as a union organizer  and President of Social Policy Workers United, a local labor union of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). Prior to her move to California, Annie helped launch Drive Change, a social enterprise in New York that reimagines career pathways for young people in the food and hospitality industry by shifting employer culture and training young people. She began her nonprofit career in fundraising and community relations. Annie has an M.S. in Nonprofit Management from The New School and a B.A. in Government from Hamilton College. She grew up in Medford, Massachusetts and now lives in Los Angeles, California.
