Small Business Majority Foundation – 2022

To support California’s small business employers, particularly employers of color and other entrepreneurs impacted by systemic barriers, in creating quality jobs by developing statewide small business support infrastructure.

Next Street Financial, LLC – 2022

To support a landscape study of California’s small business sector in relation to the state’s low-wage workers and to develop recommendations for philanthropies to foster high road economic development through small business.

Multiplier – 2022

To explore the employee ownership ecosystem in Riverside, San Joaquin, Monterey, San Bernardino, and Fresno counties, and to expand employee ownership throughout California, through an entity such as Project Equity.

Pacific Community Ventures – 2022

To support California small business entrepreneurs and workers through improved access to working capital, pro bono advising, and research and policies that help improve job quality in small businesses.

NALEO Educational Fund – 2021

To promote the economic advancement of Latinos by building the capacity and knowledge of the political and economic issues that impact this community in California.

Chinese Progressive Association – 2021

To build a base of workers and organizations to advance public and political will for expanding the safety net to all Californians, through an entity such as Trabajadores Unidos Workers United.

Alliance for Safety & Justice – 2021

To remove barriers and advance economic opportunity for systems-impacted Californians and support the work of the Californians for Safety and Justice (CSJ) program.
