Peter Taylor was elected to the board in December 2000. He is currently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the University of California. Previously, Taylor served as Managing Director with Barclays Capital in the Public Finance department, as a manager with GTE California and as Executive Director of the Coro Foundation. He also worked for six years on the staff of the California State Assembly. Active in the community, he is a past President of the UCLA Alumni Association and completed a one-year term as an alumni representative on the University of California Board of Regents in 2000. He also served as President of the UCLA Foundation, the primary volunteer and alumni fundraising organization for the campus, from 2002¬ to 2004. Additionally, Taylor serves on the board of the J. Paul Getty Trust. He also served as a member of the California Student Aid Commission as an appointee of Gov. Gray Davis from 2002 to 2004. In 2004, he served as a member of the California Performance Review Commission, appointed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. A graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, Taylor earned his Master of Science in public policy analysis from Claremont Graduate School and is a graduate of the Coro Foundation Fellows Program.
